OXFORD INSPIRES – the cultural development agency for Oxfordshire.

Oxford Inspires promotes the cultural life of Oxfordshire, working in partnership with other organisations to provide new opportunities for people to get involved in cultural activities – these also include science and environmental issues, as well as the arts and sport.

Oxford Inspires also conceives major cultural programmes and makes them happen. In 2005, we coordinated Evolving City, the largest collaborative cultural programme ever seen in Oxford, with hundreds of events, most of them free, and more than a hundred organisations taking part. Oxford Inspires secured funding and coordinated and marketed the programme.

Oxford Inspires is funded by Oxford City Council, Oxfordshire County Council, the University of Oxford, Oxford Brookes University and Arts Council England South East.
